R.E. Style Feature : So Bridelicious

Today's R. E. Style feature is So Bridelicious, quite literally! And I'm sure you'll eat up Lena's gorgeous hair accent designs just like I did. Fascinators and floral headpieces are such a popular alternative to traditional veils right now. I particularly love the variety that they offer. From soft, romantic flowers and feathers, to beaded retro looks, Lena's shop is sure to have what you are looking for.

Here's more from my interview with Lena -

What was your background before you began So Bridelicious?
I have a masters degree in financial marketing. I am very graphically oriented and filled with ideas. I guess commitment, passion and a love for beautiful things are my strengths that I use to make So Bridelicious hair jewelry.

What inspired you to start So Bridelicious?
I made my first fascinator after entering and not winning a contest for a fascinator from Jannie Baltzer (porpular Danish designer). Since I did not have $ 500 to purchase one, I decided to make my own. The result came out amazingly well. So I made another and then another... It was incredible for me to see such beautiful things evolve between my hands, so I've really just continued to create hair jewelry since that day.

Do you have a favorite design or product?
I love all my products, and actually have a hard time sending them off to the world. Personally I like big hair jewelry that really makes an impact such as "My Glorious Victoria", "My Alluring Helena" and "My Devine Cordelia". But I also love the super romantic hair pieces such as "My Pretty Filippa" and "My Lovely Penelope". The Filippa, Penelope and Victoria designs are named after my daughters.

What are you doing when you are not creating?
From 8am -4pm , I work in marketing and HR. And I have of course have my family which includes my husband, 3 young daughters and a dog. It's rare I sit bored. My head is filled with ideas and projects I want to get started.

What is your best advice for creating a harmonious and happy marriage?
Stay tight together but also give room for each others personalities. Learn to love the little things that can annoys you! I once heard an old married couple say that you should accept that a marriage fluctuates up and down. That like everything else in life, a marriage has good and less good periods - and that's perfectly okay!

What advice would you give to couples seeking to make their wedding memorable and special?
There are lots of beautiful wedding pictures and amazing blogs on the web. You can have a total inspiration overload. Therefore it is important to take a step back and remember who you are and what you want. Otherwise the small unimportant details get too much focus. A wedding is about you - 2 people and 2 families being united. And that is the key to success  - your personality shining through.

What do you do at So Bridelicious that makes your product top notch?
I only make things that I would wear myself. I want So Bridelicious to be succesful, but not so much that quality suffers. So Bridelicious will always be exclusive so that I have the time to focus on the attention to detail that my creations and my customers deserve.
