What's New With Rew - April 2012 Wrap-up

April 2012 was crazy! Just. Plain. Crazy. But most definitely in a wonderful kind of way. Here's a wrap-up of what went on over the past 30 days:

**I had a new baby!**
Baby Teagan Lonnier Gholson was born on April 12th. She is amazing. We were all smitten immediately with her pouty lips, tiny feet, and sweet disposition. Little Asher can't help giggling and saying "she's so cute!" every time he passes her. As the youngest of my three children and the only girl on my husband's side of the family, she's in for some serious spoiling I'm sure.

**My Asher-man turned two!**
I can't believe how quickly he's growing up. He's just one of the sweetest little people I know. His big blue eyes and mysteriously thick southern drawl make me smile every day (he says "they-uh" instead of "there"). So here's to my little charmer - happy birthday!

**I had the opportunity to make jewelry for two very famous ladies... Drew Barrymore and Khloe Kardashian!**
The opportunity came through The Artisan Group, which I was accepted into earlier this year. Designing pieces for these two beautiful women was so much fun! I can't wait to see what lies ahead as I continue to work with the fantastic people in The Artisan Group. My involvement has already been a huge learning experience for me as I've been learning how to write press releases, find marketing opportunities, and how to interview. I was actually featured this month in my local paper on the front page of the Life & Style section -  a big deal for little me!

**I've been super busy with bridal orders!**
With wedding season in full force, I have been working my fingers silly with custom orders. I love doing custom work though, so it's a fun time of year for me. Some of the pieces I truly have a hard time sending out the door because I grow to love them so much. Now - if I could just teach my boys to package and ship...

**I began offering my ever popular mother's necklaces in a beautiful antique silver finish**
One of my signature pieces, I've long been making my exclusive line of birthstone and mother's jewelry in an antiqued brass finish. But after many requests for a silver option, I am happy to offer these beauties in both finishes. The only problem is now I'm not sure which I like better!

**I've been blogging like crazy!**
I have SO enjoyed seeing this little blog grow! From just 300 page views in December to over 13,000 this April - I am so excited that others are loving to read what I love to write. It's the same feeling I get when a bride tells me how much she loved wearing my jewelry on her wedding day. I put so much of myself into everything I create - it's just nice to know that others can see and appreciate my passion for what I do and my dedication to producing something of quality.

So that's the scoop for April! Thank you all for making it a great month and for supporting my blog.
