Trendwatch : Mismatched Bridesmaids

Gone are the days of uncomfortable, unflattering, one time wear, matchy bridesmaid dresses. The growing trend is for brides to embrace a mismatched approach to their attendant's attire. Bridesmaids are now wearing dresses that not only fit their body shapes, but also their personalities.

R.E. Style Feature : Sofisticata

I have long adored the handiwork of today's R.E. Style feature, Hirjalda Mobley of Sofisticata. Very popular among Etsy shoppers and shop owners alike, she specializes in handmade fascinators, hair pieces, hair pins, and more. But today, I'd like to focus on her gorgeous shoe clips. Shoe clips are gaining in popularity and are a wonderful way to insert your personality into your bridal ensemble. Classic or funky, understated or over the top - Hirjalda's shop has something for every bride.

Color Palette : Passion for Peacock

Eye-catching, yet tranquil. Elegant, yet trendy. It's not hard to see why peacock inspired weddings have sprung up everywhere. This color palette is inspired by the teal greens and muted blues that adorn the beautiful bird. By avoiding too many peacock themed items and incorporating the colors as accents to classic cream and white, the look is clean and chic without being over the top.

R.E. Style Feature : I Am Maryann

For today's Rew Elliott Style feature, I am pleased to introduce I Am Maryann, a custom jewelry company with a message. The design is simple and elegant - two charms, three words - but the message is powerful. With a line consisting primarily of necklaces and key chains, her products are perfect for brides looking for special and meaningful gifts for their bridesmaids, spouse, or wedding party members. I love that you can choose from one of her ready to go "I AM" statements, or customize your own purposed mantra.

Color Palette : Bride's Blush

For me, few colors are as delicate and refined as classic blush. It evokes a vintage quality and romantic feel that are so perfect as the backdrop for many wedding venues and themes. This inspiration board combines blush with classic ivory and gray for a timeless feel. From the rhinestone shoe clips to the conservatory reception venue and classic wedding cake design, the overall feeling is elegant and understated.
