In the Details : Wish Tree Tags

Wish trees have become a popular alternative to the traditional guest book. This charming Dutch custom has given rise to all sorts of wish tree and tag designs. Traditional wish trees consist of a beautiful tree branch placed next to the bride and groom's table at the reception. Guests write their special wish for the happy couple on paper leaves attached to pieces of colorful ribbon, which the bride and groom can then hang on the tree.

Color Palette : Blushing Bridal Tea

Bridal showers are a traditional way of celebrating a bride and her upcoming wedding, but knowing what kind of shower to plan can be daunting. One option to consider is a bridal tea. They are charming, elegant,  and can feel intimate even when there is a large group.

This inspiration board has some fantastic ideas for a vintage-chic, garden theme tea.

From embroidered napkins, shortbread cookies, and vintage teacups to fresh flowers, crisp linen, and good company - what's not to love?

Trend Watch - Top Hues for Autumn 2011

Fall is by far my favorite season. I love the cooler weather, the holidays and events that come with it, and I adore the colors of autumn. While there are colors that are traditional for fall and for the holidays, we all know that the fashion industry has a mind of its own. But I'll have to say, I really like the trending colors for Fall 2011.

From Pantone's Fall Fashion Color Report

You have the typical browns, oranges, and yellows... but I love the pops of bright pink and blue, and the addition of the deep teal. While maybe not the most obvious color choices for autumn, I think they are beautiful together and are reflective of the colors you see in nature during this season. Jewel tones are also big this fall, and that makes sense as they are really just deeper, more saturated versions of these colors.
