Trend Watch : Fall 2012's Trendiest Colors
Here they are... the colors that all other colors will aspire to be this fall. Pantone's Fashion Color Report is bold and exciting while still maintaining those qualities of autumn that we love - rich, nature inspired hues. I really like French Roast and Rose Smoke. I think Tangerine with Rose Smoke and almost anything else is amazing. How about you? Any favorite combos out there? Now, to get to work finding some "new" old stones...

Trendwatch : Mismatched Bridesmaids
Gone are the days of uncomfortable, unflattering, one time wear, matchy bridesmaid dresses. The growing trend is for brides to embrace a mismatched approach to their attendant's attire. Bridesmaids are now wearing dresses that not only fit their body shapes, but also their personalities.

R.E. Style Feature : Sofisticata
I have long adored the handiwork of today's R.E. Style feature, Hirjalda Mobley of Sofisticata. Very popular among Etsy shoppers and shop owners alike, she specializes in handmade fascinators, hair pieces, hair pins, and more. But today, I'd like to focus on her gorgeous shoe clips. Shoe clips are gaining in popularity and are a wonderful way to insert your personality into your bridal ensemble. Classic or funky, understated or over the top - Hirjalda's shop has something for every bride.

Trend Watch - Lovely Lace
Lace as been a favorite fabric choice of brides for generations. Though other materials have been more en vogue in recent years, 2012 is seeing a return to this wedding gown classic.

Currently, lace sleeves are very popular among designers, a look made popular by the elegant wedding gown worn by Kate Middleton last spring at her wedding to Prince William.
Illusion necklines and overlays are another beautiful way to incorporate lace.

Trend Watch - Rainbow Bride
Brides are some of my favorite clients to work with. I love creating special pieces that will in turn be a part of such a magical and memorable day. I also get a feel for a lot of bridal trends, and one I have been noticing more and more is that brides are wearing color.

Trend Watch : Hair and Makeup for 2012
I think these trends will be perfect for me this year! According to Stephanie Rosenbloom's article in the New York Times, " stiff coiffures, overdone eyes, defined lips and matte skin are out. Tousled hair, smudged eyeliner, dewy lips and luminous skin are in". As a business owner and mom of two toddlers with another baby on the way... I think I can do this. I know many of you can relate. Check out the article. I really do like the more relaxed look and think it is perfect for our wallets as well as our schedules!

Trend Watch - Top Hues for Autumn 2011
Fall is by far my favorite season. I love the cooler weather, the holidays and events that come with it, and I adore the colors of autumn. While there are colors that are traditional for fall and for the holidays, we all know that the fashion industry has a mind of its own. But I'll have to say, I really like the trending colors for Fall 2011.

You have the typical browns, oranges, and yellows... but I love the pops of bright pink and blue, and the addition of the deep teal. While maybe not the most obvious color choices for autumn, I think they are beautiful together and are reflective of the colors you see in nature during this season. Jewel tones are also big this fall, and that makes sense as they are really just deeper, more saturated versions of these colors.
