Jaime + Nathan : Rustic Engagement Session

Take a gorgeous setting, add two beautiful people, throw in a talented photographer, and you have the perfect recipe for an amazing engagement shoot. Shot in Mt. Olive, Alabama, the rustic setting was perfect for Jaime, who grew up on a horse farm, and Nathan, a lifelong outdoors-man. "We wanted something very natural and organic, outside, and simple" said Jaime.

Jessica + Zach : Engagement Session

Jessica and Zach were brought together by tragedy, but prove that out of the most difficult situations, beautiful things can emerge. They started dating in high school, and have essentially grown up together. "We've been together through everything," Jessica told me. "The main inspiration for our engagement shoot was to allow the love we have for each other to show through in our pictures and to have images that really capture our relationship in a candid manner."

Trend Watch: Vintage Engagement Rings

Vintage inspiration is one of the biggest trends for 2012 weddings. It's a trend that has been gaining in popularity for several years now. From vintage gowns to vintage jewelry, touches of days gone by are popping up everywhere. And I'll have to say, I hope this is a trend that is here to stay.

I have long had a love for vintage jewelry. In fact, I had always dreamed of wearing my great-grandmother's Edwardian Era sapphire and diamond engagement ring in lieu of a brand new design. Needless to say I was thrilled when my now husband proposed to me with the vintage beauty.

So for today's post I'd like to focus on vintage and antique engagement rings. With their intricate designs, timeless appeal, expert craftsmanship, and exquisite beauty, these pieces are complete eye candy for vintage lovers such as myself. Get ready for some stunning pieces...

Trend Watch - Short and Sweet Bridal Gowns

From knee length to tea length, short bridal gowns are back in a big way for Spring and Summer. While most brides opt for floor skimming and beyond, short gowns make perfect sense for afternoon events, garden and outdoor weddings, second weddings, and brides looking to insert their own personal style taste. Loosing the length doesn't mean you're loosing style - as this collection of gowns demonstrates. Short can be very chic indeed.

In the Details : Ribbon Wands

A bride always wants to make a memorable entrance, but the exit is just as important. Ribbon wands are a unique, whimsical, and colorful way to send the newlyweds off with a "wave of good wishes" - a term coined by Pebbles Catto, owner of Living a Fairytale
