When I first read about this trend, I'll admit I was a skeptic. I was imagining gaudy, over-the-top, and... well... shiny. But after taking a closer look at gilded cakes, I've decided that there are definitely elegant, tasteful, and outright gorgeous ways to utilize metallics in cake design.
