But I've been so busy with new baby and custom bridal orders that time and inspiration have definitely been lacking. Well - I recently came across a parcel of stones that gave me the inspiration I needed, and I managed the time when my mother-in-law was in town helping out (yes... I have help and readily accept it whenever it is offered).

I am so, so excited to introduce today's R.E. Style feature! The first time I saw Jason and Andie's creations my jaw literally dropped from complete amazement. Their Etsy shop, Andie's Specialty Sweets is a virtual wonderland of confectionery delights including edible embellishments and decorative candies. Stop by and marvel at expertly crafted edible sugar strawberries,exquisitely detailed chocolate filled candy seashells, art nouveau starburst lollipops, and statement jewelry that one can devour after wearing.Though Andie tells me otherwise, I imagine their candy-making kingdom to resemble something like Willie Wonka's factory... full of fantasy and whimsy. 

In the Details : Fabric Bouquets

The bridal bouquet is just as important to the bridal ensemble as the accessories, the shoes, the hair, and the gown itself. My own bouquet was gorgeous. It was full, it was delicately hued, it was complete eye candy... and it was dead after a week. Had I known about fabric flower bouquets at the time, I'm pretty sure I would have invested in a bouquet that would have stayed beautiful for years to come.

Color Palette : Sand & Sea

Sand, surf and sky... is there a more beautiful setting for a spring or summer wedding? Today's color palette reflects the soft tranquility of the beach, played out in gentle hues of driftwood gray and muted coral, accented by crisp white and classic beige. Romantic. Intimate. Relaxed. This is one of my favorite color combinations - so much so that I used it at my own beach wedding!

Christi + Adam : Elegant Texas Wedding

With a classic color scheme and elegant vintage touches, Christi and Adam's wedding was truly a class act event. Held at scenic Elmwood Gardens in Palestine, Texas, the picture perfect location was just the right backdrop for the couple's sophisticated event. Details such as Christi's gorgeous brooch bouquet, the classic red rose centerpieces, and their chic ribbon wrapped cake combined with the charming location to create a romantic atmosphere that was beautifully captured by photographer, Brandi Burkett.

Color Palette : Coffee and Cream

Who doesn't love the perfect pairing of coffee and cream? Understated, classic, warm, inviting -That's the inspiration for today's color palette. Accenting the complementary espresso and ivory hues are subtle notes of pale pink, warm yellow, and quiet greens... an unassuming color combination that is elegant, yet welcoming.

What's New With Rew - April 2012 Wrap-up

April 2012 was crazy! Just. Plain. Crazy. But most definitely in a wonderful kind of way. Here's a wrap-up of what went on over the past 30 days:

**I had a new baby!**

Baby Teagan Lonnier Gholson was born on April 12th. She is amazing. We were all smitten immediately with her pouty lips, tiny feet, and sweet disposition. Little Asher can't help giggling and saying "she's so cute!" every time he passes her. As the youngest of my three children and the only girl on my husband's side of the family, she's in for some serious spoiling I'm sure.
